The Observer: Property Still Cheap in Turkey

The English Observer states the property prices have rose the most in Turkey, but it is still cheap to buy in Turkey. There is also some information relating to British people who have moved to various countries on the southern coast of Europe. The newspaper states 9,500 British people living in Turkey. According to the research of the Observer, Turkey ranks among the countries where there is high increase in property prices, with a rise at 30-40% in property prices. It is stated that property prices rose by 25-35% in Bulgaria, by 20-30 % in Croatia, by 12-15 % in Cyprus, by 10-205 in France and by around 0.5% in Italy. Despite these figures, the cheapest properties are still in Turkey. While a two-bedroom apartment by the coast is priced at 65,000 GBP (155 YTL) in Turkey, such an apartment is priced at 70,000 GBP in Bulgaria, 75-95,000 GBP in Croatia. A two bedroom apartment in city in France is sold at 135,000 GBP and a two bedroom villa in rural area in Italy is priced at 270,000 GBP.
